ACT.539 - singaporeans seen ugly.

ok , it seems that every week i have " stuff i have to do " list on the weekends . This week , i have my graduation ceremony at Ngee Ann as well as shifting of the fish tank .

My arowana's gonna have a new home soon . and after he moved in , i need to sell his current home . arrrhhhh , another massive "stuff i have to do " movement.

I haven been meeting my friends lately . because either i'm busy in the weekends , or i'm out with my girlfriend . and plus , the fact why i could always see the dragonboat guys , is because we always meet in totally wrong timing . e.g 12am ? 11.30am ? haha . oh well. i'm already a glutton . don't turn me into a fully matured one . =)

so quickkkkk , can i go into the army ? i hate wasting my life away in starhub and becoming fat everyday . get this NS bullshit over and done with man.

Anyway , working in starhub as a telemarketeer taught me a lot of invaluable lessons. It shows me the ugly sight of Singaporeans .

Singaporeans are a disgrace.

You got me right . No kidding . Let me explain .

When you call up customers to tell them their contract for their Internet service has expired , you present to them the current promotions , a discount package or a free gift package , they tell you it's bullshit . They want a free laptop or something as good. They even tell you Singnet is having better promotions . Saying singnet giving out free laptops. ( YES , FREE LAPTOP . but $83 dollars/mth ? You wanna pay 20bucks more per mth ? )

Then they say Singnet is so much cheaper , threaten to move over. ( yes singnet is cheaper , but as far as i know , singnet is not giving out any free gifts WHICH U PEOPLE are so hard up for. )

So you bastards , i know . When finally you cancelled Starhub and move over to Singnet , and when Singnet calls you up , you say Starhub is better and u threaten to move over. OH PLEASE. What the hell you do this for.

and the most funny is , when i present to customers the current promotions , they demand a laptop and ask if starhub could give them one because they are loyal customers . ( loyal has a subjective definition. ) i wish to shout out loud :

STARHUB AIN'T A MARKETPLACE. YOU CAN'T DEMAND OR NEGOTIATE with anything. Besides , i'm a small fry . really.

Singaporeans really make me laugh at times.

Why not you buggers go try , purchase a leather sofa at Courts and bargain for better price . or even ask them to lower GST to 3 % . ( GST can't be changed because it's government right ? same thing isn't it ? )

the worst is this . recently Starhub launched a promotion with a free gift for only new cable tv customers. Many existing customers called in and scold us , say they want the tv and just wanna recontract . Or some customers are willing to terminate the service , return the black box , and sign up again . ( what a big hassle ) . then when we say u can't terminate and sign up again and get the promotional gift , they say they teriminate and ask wife to sign up.

and when my supervisor discovered a particular terms and conditions , " customers are not able to enjoy promotion under the same service address if they teriminated the service after 8june."

tell customers that already , cannot ask wife sign up , they willing to go all out to find the loophole of our terms and conditions , or even just give it a try of the method to get the free gift.

WHAT FOR , PEOPLE ? ARE YOU SO HARD UP FOR A FREEBIE ? SO DESPERATE FOR IT ?

even the rich call in and make trouble over this . Really , if u ask me , to go through all this trouble for a freebie , i would rather save my time and go purchase the item at best denki myself if i really need it.

i'm so embarassed now , being a singaporean myself . I'm sure there are people like me , who wouldn't go to all the trouble to get a freebie , and rather save the hassle and time . but i doubt there will be a reasonable amount of such people .

i really ask myself why , which dick started the free gifts for internet service with a contract . We pay for service every month for the INTERNET . not the free gift ok.
